GTD views
Inbox, Today, Upcoming, Anytime and Someday, plus a Logbook, are the app's navigation.
Todoist, Things 3, and Done Bear
Keep Todoist or Things if one of these is why you use it.
- Things 3 is Apple-only, single-player, and sold separately for Mac, iPhone, iPad and Vision Pro. Done Bear has the same views on Windows and the web, as a subscription after the free 250-task tier.
- Todoist is cloud-first with filters you assemble, and wins on Android, assignees and integrations. Done Bear ships the five views as its navigation.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best GTD app in 2026?
Things 3 if you work alone on Apple hardware, Todoist if you need Android, assignees or a large integration catalog. Done Bear if you want Things-style GTD on Windows and the web, local-first, with a hosted MCP server.
Does Done Bear have an MCP server?
Yes, at https://mcp.donebear.com/mcp, where assistants can capture and triage with scoped permission. Todoist has one too; Done Bear also has a CLI and a GraphQL API on the same workspace.
Is Done Bear local-first?
Yes. Every view opens from a copy on the device, so adding, completing, reordering and searching work offline, and changes sync when you reconnect.
