What the Done Bear CLI does

Run your list from the terminal

Capture, find, schedule and complete tasks.

donebear task add "Fix the flaky deploy test" --when today
donebear today
donebear search "invoice"
donebear task done 8f2c

Run it from scripts and CI

donebear api-key create "CI"
export DONEBEAR_TOKEN=<token>

Import from Things 3

On the Mac with Things installed, preview the migration, then import areas, projects, tags and tasks.

donebear import things --dry-run
donebear import things

Frequently asked questions

How do I install the Done Bear CLI?

Run `npm install -g donebear`, then `donebear auth login`. `donebear --help` lists every command.

Can I use the CLI in scripts and CI?

Yes. Add `--json`, `--format csv` or `--format tsv`, and set `DONEBEAR_TOKEN` to an API key instead of using browser login.
